Menstrual Cups and their usefulness on Road Trips

One afternoon while living on the road, I found myself at the stunning Zion National Park, in awe of the insane scale of the surrounding mountains, and the scenic valley carved by the Virgin River.

Seeing many beautiful protected places like this emphasized for me how important it is to take care of our planet.

One way I like to reduce my environmental impact is to replace single-use products with reusable ones. There was only one problem, I was starting my period and almost out of tampons. Being that my next few days would be filled with hiking, my only option was to stock up on an overpriced and over-packaged box of single-use tampons in the local town.

I had thought about trying a Menstrual Cup for a while now, but this trip gave me the final push to try one, and I’m so glad I finally did.

I only have to empty my cup twice a day, I can have a full day of adventures without having to worry about my period.
