Why Choose Peachcup?
Choosing a menstrual cup is personal. The cup that works beautifully for one person may be too long, too soft, too firm, too wide, or simply harder to remove for someone else. Peachcup was designed around that reality: give you meaningful choices in size and firmness while keeping the same easy-to-locate ring stem design across the collection.
This guide explains what is actually different about Peachcup, who each feature may help, and how to choose without assuming that everyone needs the same cup.
1. The signature Peachcup ring stem
Every Peachcup has a circular ring at the base instead of a traditional straight stem. The ring gives your finger a distinct point to locate when the cup is inside the vaginal canal, which can be especially reassuring if a smooth straight stem is difficult for you to identify by touch.
The ring is a removal aid, not a handle for pulling against suction. During removal, first reach the base of the cup and release the seal by gently pressing one side inward. Once the seal is released, the ring can help you guide the cup downward so you can securely grasp the base and remove it comfortably.
If removal is the part of cup use that makes you nervous, see our step-by-step ring-stem removal guide.
2. Three Peachcup sizes for different bodies and different days
Peachcup comes in Small, Medium, and Large. The size affects length, diameter, and capacity, so choosing is about much more than how heavy your flow is.
| Peachcup size | Capacity | Total length | Diameter | Useful starting clues |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small | 24 ml | 6.6 cm | 4.1 cm | Lower cervix, lighter days, smaller fit preference, or sensitivity to width |
| Medium | 28 ml | 7.2 cm | 4.4 cm | Average cervix height, moderate flow, or a balanced everyday starting point |
| Large | 32 ml | 7.5 cm | 4.7 cm | Higher cervix, heavier flow, or a need for greater capacity when the larger dimensions are comfortable |

A heavy flow does not automatically mean you need a Large. If your cervix is low or you are more comfortable with a narrower cup, a Small or Medium may fit better and simply need to be emptied more often. Likewise, someone with light flow can still prefer Medium or Large if a higher cervix makes a longer cup easier to reach.
3. Size and firmness are separate decisions
This is one of the most useful things to understand before choosing any menstrual cup. Size solves fit and capacity needs; firmness solves flexibility, opening, pressure, and stability needs.
Across the Peachcup line you will find Soft, Medium Firm, and Extra Firm silicone options, although current firmness availability varies by size.

Soft Peachcup
Soft is the most flexible option. It can be a good choice if you are sensitive to internal pressure or tend to notice firmer cups against your bladder. The tradeoff is that a very soft cup can require a little more technique to make sure it opens fully after insertion.
Medium Firm Peachcup
Medium Firm balances flexibility with spring-back structure. If you do not yet know whether you prefer soft or firm, it is often the most intuitive place to start because it opens readily without being the firmest option.
Extra Firm Peachcup
Extra Firm provides the most structure. It can be helpful for runners, lifters, dancers, gymnasts, or people with a strong pelvic floor if softer cups repeatedly collapse, shift, or lose their seal during movement.
If you are prone to bladder pressure or cramping from firmer cups, however, choosing the firmest option simply because you are active may not be comfortable. Your own body still decides.
4. A cup can match your activity level, not just your flow
Many size charts focus almost entirely on age, childbirth history, or flow. Those can be useful clues, but they do not tell the whole story.
If you have a strong pelvic floor, high-impact movement can compress a very soft cup. In that situation, moving to a firmer Peachcup in the same size that already fits your anatomy may solve the problem more effectively than automatically buying a larger cup.
On the other hand, if your Soft cup opens correctly and stays secure while you run, lift, swim, or practice yoga, there is no reason to switch just because you exercise.
5. Peachcup can adapt to different days of your period
You do not have to use the exact same cup throughout every day of your cycle. Flow can change dramatically, and cervix height can shift during menstruation too.
Some users prefer:
- a Small on lighter beginning or ending days,
- a Medium for everyday moderate flow,
- a Large on their strongest-flow days if the dimensions are comfortable,
- a firmer cup for high-impact workouts if softer silicone is being compressed, or
- a softer cup on days when pressure sensitivity is more noticeable.
The best combination is the one that fits that day's anatomy, flow, comfort, and activity.
6. Up to 12 hours of menstrual protection
Peachcup can provide up to 12 hours of menstrual protection before emptying, depending on your individual flow and the product instructions. “Up to” matters: a person with heavy flow may need to empty the cup much sooner, especially on their strongest day.
If a cup begins leaking because it is completely full, more frequent emptying or additional capacity may help. If it leaks while it is not full, first check that the cup has opened completely and that the cervix is positioned over or within the cup rather than beside it.
7. Reusable medical-grade silicone
Peachcup is made from medical-grade silicone and designed for repeated use with proper care. With appropriate cleaning, storage, and inspection, a Peachcup may be reusable for up to 10 years.
A reusable cup can reduce the number of single-use period products you need over time, but we do not think sustainability should mean forcing yourself to use a cup that does not fit. Comfort and safe use come first.
8. Fit support if your first choice is not right
Finding the right cup sometimes takes a little experimentation. A size chart can narrow the choices, but no chart can perfectly predict how a specific cup will feel inside your body.
That is why Peachlife offers free returns, fit replacements, and exchanges under our policy terms if your first Peachcup size or firmness is not the right match. You can contact us through website chat or email customerservice@peachlifeinc.com, and we will be happy to help you work out what to try next.
Which Peachcup should you start with?
| If this sounds like you | A useful starting point |
|---|---|
| Low cervix + lighter or moderate flow | Small; choose a softer option if pressure-sensitive or more firmness if you want stronger spring-open structure |
| Average cervix + moderate flow + unsure where to begin | Medium / Medium Firm is a balanced starting point for many users |
| Higher cervix + heavy flow | Medium or Large, depending on which diameter is comfortable |
| Very active + softer cup collapses during exercise | Keep the size that fits and consider a firmer option |
| Bladder or internal pressure sensitivity | Consider a Soft option in the size that matches your cervix and capacity needs |
| Very heavy strongest day | Medium or Large for greater capacity if the dimensions fit comfortably |
These are starting points, not rules. The best Peachcup should sit comfortably, stay open, be easy enough for you to reach, and provide the capacity you need.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Peachcup ring meant to pull the cup out?
It helps you locate and guide the cup, but always release the seal first. Pulling forcefully on any menstrual cup while the seal remains intact can be uncomfortable.
Is a firmer Peachcup better?
Not universally. Firmer cups can open more decisively and resist pelvic-floor compression, while softer cups can feel more comfortable for pressure-sensitive users. Better means better for your body.
Should I choose size based on age or childbirth?
Age and childbirth history can provide context, but they are not reliable enough to be the only sizing rules. Cervix height, flow, dimensions, sensitivity, and actual fit are more useful together.
Can I own more than one Peachcup?
Yes. Some people deliberately rotate sizes or firmnesses across different cycle days or activities. There is no requirement to use one identical cup for every day of every period.
What if I choose the wrong size?
